These powerful recirculating chillers are available with performance ratings of 7 kW to 14.5 kW. Like the smaller versions, these models are mobile units with plug-in connections. The capacity of the tank can be varied between 100 and 250 litres to reduce the number of operating cycles per hour. The containers are easy to fill thanks to the large filling openings on the top of every recirculating chiller. Screw-on lids with sealing rings prevent contact with the ambient air to keep evaporation rates low.

Because the waste heat from these larger units can be quite considerable (the waste heat represents an additional cooling load of about 40 % for the room), these chillers are frequently installed outside, in building services rooms or in spacious hallways.

Amortisation times are relatively short because Kühlmobil chillers save considerable amounts of water per year.

The illustration shows the standard version with a manual bypass. Also available is an automatic bypass that opens when the equipment to be cooled shuts off. There are more and more situations in practice where the water flows are shut off by solenoid valves. These models can be supplied as air- or water-cooled versions. Other temperature ranges are available on request.
